This is a nice heating pad and massager for your hip, although at about $50, I do think it's a bit pricy for something that needs to either be plugged in to an outlet or a battery pack. Since there is no built in battery, it does keep the overall pad fairly thin and low profile. The included pocket to hold a battery pack is fairly small, only about 5 inches by almost 4 inches; none of the battery packs that I own are slim enough to put in here so I'm currently using the outlet method, which is obviously less flexible and useful since I cannot take it "on the go," not even just around the house or around my room. If you need to use this while moving or while not near an outlet, just make sure you have a pretty small/slim battery pack ready to use with it or be willing to hold a larger battery pack in hand. Otherwise, this is a fine heating pad with light massaging/vibrations. It's pretty easy to use with just the 2 buttons to cycle through the various heat & vibration levels. The soft velvety lining is very comfortable against the skin. It's highly adjustable and simple to get it to a tight fit, both around the upper leg and waist. I'm a size 4 in US women's and there was plenty of extra space to adjust the sizing, especially around the waist, so I'd suspect this should work for most standard adult sizes.

This is the kind of heating pad that makes sense if you want heat on your hip or thigh area while still being able to move around. The wrap style is convenient because it stays put better than a flat pad you have to hold in place. It’s more “cozy targeted warmth” than a luxury massage experience, so I’d set expectations accordingly. Fit matters a lot with these, so it’ll depend on how adjustable the strap is and where you want the heat to sit. I’d also recommend checking the cord length and controls, because that’s usually what makes these annoying or easy to use. If you’re someone who lives with a heating pad in your life, this style is a practical upgrade.
